A LIVING PIECE OF AMERICAN HISTORY
Nestled within the serene Deerfield Valley of Vermont's Green Mountain National Forest (and only two miles from the base of Mount Snow), our family owned and operated inn continues an important American tradition of friendly hospitality begun over 150 years ago. Originally built in 1846 as a stage coach stop and tavern, the West Dover Inn has been lovingly restored and now provides 11 quiet, luxury accommodations as well as modern and memorable dining in the 1846 Tavern and Restaurant.
Enchanted by the summer's cool clear days, the autumn's brilliant colors and the winter’s quiet snowfall, the West Dover Inn brings to life the best of Vermont. Close to everything, yet far from anything, the inn is an ideal destination for a perfect New England vacation. Surrounded by Vermont's best skiing, snowboarding, golfing, hiking, kayaking, horseback riding and shopping destinations, your time in West Dover promises to be relaxing and refreshing.
Thank you for being a part of our home and we hope you will come to consider it your own.

Have A Drink
Breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night - the Tavern is open 7 days a week year-round (except Christmas Day). Enjoy dozens of craft beers, our Executive Chef's daily specials, and the fresh taste of garden grown vegetables.
It's a popular spot for visitors and locals, so seats fill up around 7pm each night. Grab your spot at the bar and watch a favorite sports game or take a seat at the tables by the fireplace and share stories with your favorite friends.
The West Dover Inn is located in Dover, Vermont - which is central to all of Southern Vermont. From the Inn, you are no more than a 45 minute drive to all of Southern Vermont's adventures.
Hiking, biking, kayaking, horseback riding, golfing, antiquing, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, and plenty more are all just outside the Inn's front door. Come explore, relax, and recharge in the majestic Green Mountains of Vermont.
